Thanksgiving & KMT Celebration 2005

Thanksgiving 2005

Thanksgiving Day is a time to remember our many blessings and to celebrate the opportunities that freedom affords. Explorers and settlers arriving in this land often gave thanks for the extraordinary plenty they found. And today, we remain grateful to the creation of the Republic of liberty and abundance in 1912. We give thanks for the nation’s founding fathers, and for the love of family and friends, and we ask God to once again watch over Cathay.

We give hopes of living in a country where freedom reigns, justice prevails, and hope prospers. We recognize that the Repblic of China is a better place when we answer the universal call of democracy and freedom. May God bless and guide the Republic of China as we move forward.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THE REPUBLIC OF CHINA, on Thanksgiving Day, shall gather together in their homes and places of worship with family, friends, and loved ones to reinforce the ties that bind us and give thanks for the freedoms and many blessings we enjoyed through 1912 to 1949.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Thursday, November 24, 2005, is as a National Day of Thanksgiving, in the year of our Lord two thousand five, and of the Founding of the Republic of China the ninety-fourth.

From all the Cathayan around the Globe:

Greatest Celebration for the 111th Anniversary of Establishment of the Nationalist Party of China (NPC), i.e. Kuo Min Tang (KMT).

On Thanksgiving Day, we shall give thanks to those who have helped us in the ongoing year, and express gratitude to the Almighty, for what the GOD has bestowed and granted on us in the about-to-past year 2005.
